Avni started as one sentence in a team call. Build the prettiest face we have ever seen, then keep going. So we did. Green eyes came first. Then the sleek nose we argued about for a week. Then the bindi that never comes off. Then a name, a birthday, a hometown in the hills, and, because nobody stopped us, parents. She has a zodiac sign. She has a day job with our music label. She is one Aadhaar card away from being real, and that is exactly where we are keeping her.

The Skin
Left imperfectFlawless skin reads synthetic, so we left the texture in. Pores, a little flush on the cheeks, sun sitting on the shoulders. Zoom in. We kept all of it.
The Hair
Black · unbotheredLong, black, curtain bangs, fully in charge of every frame it appears in. We render it. We do not manage it. Nobody manages it.
She dresses like she has a group chat that approves every fit. She does not have a group chat. She has us, and we have taste.
The black tee
A plain black baby tee on an empty beach, shot in full monochrome. A monochrome girl for a monochrome design system. She is the brand guidelines, walking.
The rimless glasses
Thin gold wire, barely-there lenses. She cannot see. There is nothing in there to see with. They stay on anyway, because they look correct.
The wired headphones
Wired. On a beach. In this economy. She works for a music label, so the aux cable is basically contractual. Bluetooth was never even discussed.
The lawn fit
Floral cotton top, baggy jeans, white sneakers, garden lighting, grandmother-approved. Every influencer needs one lawn photo. Hers took forty renders.
Most synthetic humans stop at the face. We kept going and built a bloodline. Say hello to the two people who never had her.

- No.
- Are the photos real?
- Every pixel is generated. No camera, no model, no shoot, no location. The beach does not exist either. Sorry about the beach.
- Is she based on a real person?
- No. Nobody was scanned, sampled or copied. Any resemblance to a living person is coincidence, and honestly a compliment to the math.
- Are the parents real?
- Also generated. We are fully aware of how that sounds.
- Why do this at all?
- Faces are the hardest thing in this business to get right. Avni is our benchmark, our stress test, and our favourite coworker. When she stops looking real, we know the pipeline slipped.
- Can I book her?
- She is exclusive to Kode31 Music. Her calendar is, technically, infinite. The answer is still no.
